Development Board members are ultimately responsible for securing adequate resources and working hand in hand with the School Board in overseeing the distribution of those resources. For this reason, a commitment to fundraising must begin with the Development Board. Kenneth Blanchard, well known author, speaker and business consultant, states “There’s a difference between interest and commitment. When you’re interested in doing something, you do it only when it’s convenient. When you’re committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.” Because of the commitment of this dedicated board, we have made a significant difference in the everyday operation of our schools.
