“There are a variety of reasons that we send our children to Catholic Schools. The three most prominent reasons are:

  • Catholic faith and Christian values instilled in our children daily.
  • The curriculum and competitive educational environment make our children more college ready.
  • The many extracurricular and athletic programs help to give our children a well-rounded experience.”

“The caliber of education that our four children have received at Springfield Catholic Schools enabled my eldest to enroll at Rockhurst University on an academic scholarship. That, coupled with the Christian atmosphere, makes us proud that we have chosen to make Catholic Schools a priority.”

“A few years ago when we began researching private schools, our family was looking for a strong academic environment as well as a Christian based education. Although, we are not Catholic, Springfield Catholic Schools was the perfect fit for us. We feel so blessed to be at a school where both academics and religion is stressed. Our time at Immaculate Conception has been a rewarding experience for our entire family.”

“School should be like a family. Kids should feel at home. Environment should kindle educational prowess. A small class size conducive for closer teacher-student interaction, guidance and education. We experienced all of these in the Catholic School System.”

“Springfield Catholic Schools offer our children challenging academics, a wide variety of extracurricular activities and countless opportunities for community service. Here they are free to expand their minds, their talents and their hearts in an environment where faith is not checked at the door, but rather an acknowledged and accepted part of campus life. We have been with the Springfield Catholic School System for ten years now and we have seen its positive impact on our children’s accomplishments, confidence and compassion. We truly look at this as a solid investment in our children’s future and an amazing gift for their lives.”

“Besides unconditional love, we believe there is no greater gift parents can give their children than a great education, and we are confident Springfield Catholic Schools provides that. That confidence stems from our personal experience; Angie attended Springfield Catholic Schools from K-4th and 8th – 12th grades, and Grace is in her second year in the school system.

From our perspective (as an alumna and parent of an existing student), what does Springfield Catholic Schools do for its students?

•It provides outstanding educational opportunities, as illustrated by the students’ achievements on AP tests, ACT scores, academic competitions, scholarship offers, etc.;
•It teaches respect for all life, no matter one’s background, religious beliefs, or socioeconomic status;
•It requires students to learn the value of volunteerism;
•Its teachers are caring and devoted; they teach there because they believe in the mission;
•Its students are surrounded by incredibly supportive and involved parents;
•It provides the opportunity to participate in successful athletic and other extracurricular programs;
•And, perhaps most importantly, it does all this with a focus on faith.

During our family Thanksgiving meal, each family member in turn stated something for which they were thankful. When it came to Grace, who is in first grade at Immaculate Conception, she said, “I am thankful for my school, I love it so much.” For parents, we can’t imagine hearing anything more meaningful about our child’s school!”
