Emerald Evening XVI “Welcome to Emerald Isle” in a new time of year with an all new look!
“Emerald Isle” will be held on March 20, 2010 at the Double Tree Hotel with doors opening at 5:30 PM to register all reserved guests. This year, the event has been more intimately planned with limited seating of less than 250. New and exciting activities (see below), a true Irish social hour including the Irish Pub, fabulous dining with Chef Mike Kensinger of Houlihans, Nick Sanders as he brings the crowd alive with spectacular auction items and closing the evening for everyone’s pleasure is dancing with the popular Dropouts (The Osmond’s Band). It’s a packed evening you can’t miss.
Emerald Evening guests will be welcomed to the Double Tree Hotel main entrance (East side) with complimentary valet parking by Springfield Parking & Valet Company. Immediately after reservations, enjoy a stroll to the Irish Pub to find select wines and select beers to quench any Irish thirst.
A fun and entertaining Photo Booth is available for Irish Fans to take snapshots and use the many props provided to bring laughter and good cheer. CDs will also be offered for a treasured keepsake of all the photos taken at the photo booth and during the evening event. Be sure to ask how to play and win the secret prize in the treasure box. CLUE….A picture is worth a thousand words!
You won’t want to miss the Silent Auction Isle. Peruse to bid early and often… because your chance to win the silent bid ends at the dining hour (around 7:00 PM). Sneak a peek at the silent auction items by visiting us again after February 15.
Have you purchase your Raffle Ticket to win the spectacular Hearts on Fire pendant? Only 400 raffle tickets will be sold and you can purchase on line here for $100 each (major credit cards accepted). This beautiful piece of jewelry, valued at $12,000 and offered through Maxon’s Diamond Merchants will be modeled at the event and you can see why Hearts on Fire diamonds are truly one of a kind. Jane & Rick McElvaine of Maxon’s will be on hand to display and explain this unique diamond cut.
The Live Auction is slated to begin at 8:00 PM and auctioneer, Nick Sanders can always be expected to bring his own unique lively entertainment to the bidders as he covers the floor collecting nods from anxious bidders. Some of the live auction items will be available to view on line after February 15, but you’ll have to be at the event, to capture the entire list of items offered for your winning bid.
Emerald Evening XVI "Emerald Isle” promises to be a fundraising event unchallenged by no other in the Springfield area. Come one, come all to be part of the true Irish extravaganza.
