Irish Track Very Successful at Districts!

Dallas Duncan had a four gold medal performance as the Catholic boys swept the relay events.

Fightin' Irish Golf Going to State!

The Fighting Irish golf team has advanced to the 2012 Class 2 State tournament. This has been a great year for our golfers as they have won matches and tournaments all season long. In the district tournament played at Greene Hills in Willard, the Irish golfers placed second enabling them to proceed to the sectional tournament. The sectional was held at Payne Stewart in Springfield where the Irish once again placed second behind a strong Mt. Vernon squad. This allowed the whole team to advance to the “Big Dance” to be held at the Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield. Tyler Johnson, Lorenzo Catapang, Ben Wiles, Nick Gori, and Dallas Dean are the top five golfers who will represent our school in this year’s state tournament . These men have worked hard all year long and will get a shot at a state championship. Coach East stated that it was a joy and a privilege to work with such respectable athletes! GO IRISH!!!!!!
SCHS Advances to Regional Math Competition After Successful State Run!

Congratulations to Lauren Alexander, John Bentley, Ben Bowman, Daniel Klinger, Greg Rudloff and Nick Wiegers who competed in Columbia at the state Great Plains Math League. The team placed 4th in small schools and all students are eligible to compete at the regional level in Kansas City on May 18.
In Target, individual awards of 1st to Daniel Klinger, 4th to Greg Rudloff and 3rd to John Bentley.
In Sprint, John Bentley placed 3rd, Daniel Klinger 4th, and Lauren Alexander 5th. The team of Bowman, Bentley and Wiegers placed 5th and their team took 2nd in Relay. The students were accompanied by Mrs. Margie Wakefield.(See picture above)

The 2012-13 School Picture Schedule is now available. The link is posted below with the assigned dates/times for each student. If you will not be able to be photographed at your assigned time, please send an email to mlg@sothernstudio.com or call 866-0987 to be added to the schedule for one of the makeup days. It is necessary to make an appointment for a make-up picture.
In order to have ID cards ready for the first day of school, photographs must be taken in July.
